« There is no place to which one can flee — nor any reason to despair, God forbid — for there is no place devoid of Hashem’s Presence. » (Likutey Halakhot, Rabbi Nathan of Breslov)

Rabbi Nathan teaches us here a truth that carries both awe and comfort: there is no place devoid of the Divine Presence. We can neither hide nor escape — not even into our darkest thoughts. Yet this truth, which could seem frightening, is in reality an endless source of hope.

For if Hashem is everywhere, then even in our falls, in shame, in inner exile, He is still there. He waits for a sign, a sigh, a single word to reopen the path. There is therefore never any reason to despair.

This awareness transforms our life: nothing we experience is ever completely lost or cut off from light. Even in the most hidden places, even in silence or confusion, Hashem still whispers: “I am here.”
